I think the same criticism that has been formulated against the unfounded forced custody in Norway, administered by Barnevernet, the Norwegian child protection services, also ought to include the corresponding Swedish authority, here called Socialtjänsten, the social services, Barnevernet in Norway and Socialtjänsten in Sweden are both authorities with incompatible functions; one function is to support children and families, and the other is to act as police and take  children into forced custody, when they think that it is appropriate to cut off the child´s family from the child.

These two functions must in the future be kept apart before people in general can have confidence in these authorities. If you use a metaphorical language you can say that you wouldn´t  ask an executioner to help you not to die. That is my conclusion after 25 years of work as a psychologcal investigator in complicated family custody cases where children´s future life or death – mentally or physically – often is at stake.
