They were there

once for me

both mum and dad

Now one of them is not

I miss my lost parent and that half of me

I must not show that to anyone

trees with shallow roots

or damaged

fall easier

than trees with deep roots

is it possible to heal

to find the roots deep down in the soil

before half of the roots were cut off

and the tree broke

injuries to the bark

can heal

as the child

can heal

if the roots

can be found again

a big full moon – and

the next morning

you saw the sun

suddenly you saw

both the darkness

and the light

you understood that no one

is either black or white
